NearFree Accessibility Statement

This statement describes NearFree's accessibility target, measures, current limitations, assessment approach and feedback route.

Last updated August 16, 2026

Current status

NearFree targets WCAG 2.2 Level AA in English and Korean at mobile and desktop widths. Accessibility is a release requirement, but NearFree has not completed an independent audit and does not claim full conformance.

Measures in the current site

  • Semantic controls, visible focus, skip links and keyboard-operable dialogs.
  • Headings, landmarks, accessible names and status announcements.
  • Responsive reflow at narrow widths, readable text sizing and 44-pixel touch targets.
  • Reduced-motion support and no required drag-only interaction.
  • A complete English and Korean interface with the document language updated on change.

Known limitations

The current report path opens GitHub, requires a GitHub account and is not a fully equivalent first-party contact option. External organizer pages are outside NearFree's control. A full screen-reader and independent audit is still pending, so additional barriers may exist.

Technical compatibility

NearFree uses HTML, CSS, JavaScript and SVG in current standards-based browsers. Core page content and navigation remain understandable if optional interactive behavior is unavailable, while filtering, saves and Radar preview require JavaScript.

Assessment approach

NearFree evaluates accessibility through automated checks, code review, keyboard testing, responsive-layout checks and bilingual content review. These methods do not replace testing with disabled people, multiple screen readers or an independent conformance audit; those remain planned work.

Report a barrier

Include the page URL, what happened, what you expected and optional browser or assistive-technology details. Do not include medical or other personal information in the public report.

Reports are reviewed and prioritized by impact, but NearFree does not promise a response or resolution time. If a listed organizer's page creates the barrier, report it to that provider as well because NearFree cannot modify an external site.
